Special Olympics Minnesota
Participants Ages 8 and up
MN Softball is a bat-and-ball sport played between two teams. Every team aims in scoring as many runs possible, against the opponents by striking the ball with a specific bat. Pitches in softball are thrown underhand. Previous experience playing adaptive softball is required, as players should have basic knowledge of the sport without one-on-one support.
Participants will be placed in a division by the Special Olympics Minnesota, based on ability level and age to give them a competitive experience.
Additional paperwork is required in order to participate in this sport. The Head of Delegation will reach out to athletes after registration with these forms.
Fee Assistance is available for participants. If needed, please complete the following form: https://bit.ly/CE192FeeAssistance.
Regionals
Regional and State Competitions are optional for participants. In order to attend state, participants must compete in Regionals. More information will be shared at practice.
Regionals will be held on July 20 in Prior Lake.
State will be held August 17, location TBD.
**Program tuition price is subsidized with Special Olympics Minnesota Funding
